Five years on, Jonty Rhodes could land the job, as BCCI looks for a shuffle in the coaching department of the Indian Cricket Team. Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir is reportedly set to take on the job of the head coach.

Jonty Rhodes could become India's fielding coach under the head-coaching tenure of Gautam Gambhir. Moreover, Rhodes could be one of the frontrunners, given his past history of working with Gautam Gambhir.
According to media outlet RevSportz, Jonty Rhodes is being considered for the Fielding Coach role by the BCCI. The Protean has not received a formal offer from BCCI yet, but could end up receiving the job.
As per previous trends, the previous head coaches have preferred their own support staff to work with. Ravi Shastri worked with R. Sridhar as his fielding coach in his team. Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid, who worked with T. Dilip in India A previously, brought him as the fielding coach for the senior men's team.
