Team India are going through mammoth changes, as the BCCI prepares for a transition from the post-Rahul Dravid era. Gautam Gambhir was named as the Indian head coach earlier this week. The Delhi-born cricketer was approached by the BCCI for the role, which he accepted, based on some reported conditions.
The same changes are set to be taken with regards to the support staff too. Rahul Dravid's contingent included batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and fielding coach T Dilip.
It was earlier reported that Gambhir wanted to pick his back-room personnel after being appointed as head coach.

Will Jonty Rhodes become India's new fielding coach?
Jonty Rhodes will not become India's new fielding coach. The Protean, widely regarded as one of the best fielders of all time, is out of the reckoning for the role.
As per the media outlet Hindustan Times, the BCCI does not want foreign backroom staff. The Indian team has seen an all-Indian staff for seven years - a trend that the BCCI does not want to break.
Rhodes' rejection could also mean the same for Ryan ten Doeschate - a former Dutch cricketer. Gambhir's requests are now being turned down, as India prepare for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour.
It remains to be seen who will take on the role of fielding coach, but appointing an Indian is the most likely option.
