Gautam Gambhir’s India were recently handed a 2-0 ODI series loss by Sanath Jayasuriya’s Sri Lanka. However, the Men in Blue had managed to win the T20I series 3-0, which also marked the debut series for Gambhir as the new coach and Suryakumar Yadav as the new full-time T20I captain of the Indian team.
Suryakumar showcased stunning leadership throughout the series, even helping the team to win the match in the final T20I game with the ball in hand.

India will now be on a break from international cricket before hosting Bangladesh in a two-match Test series and a three-match T20I series. The Test series will kick-off first on September 19, after which the T02I series will start on October 6.
The first T20I game of the three-match series was scheduled to be played at the iconic Dharamshala Stadium in Himachal Pradesh, however, the BCCI have recently announced a venue change.
Why is the 1st T20I game between India and Bangladesh being moved?
The BCCI has decided to move the first of the three T20Is from the HPCA Stadium or better known as Dharamshala. BCCI decided to move the game due to the ongoing upgrades at the stadium. Due to the renovation work in place, the dressing room won’t be accessible to the players, leaving the board with no other choice but to change the venue.
Only the venue of the game is set to be changed, the game will proceed on the scheduled date on October 6.

Where will the 1st T20I between India and Bangladesh be played?
The BCCI has decided to shift the venue for the first T20I clash between India and Bangladesh to the Gwalior International Cricket Stadium in Madhya Pradesh. The rest of the T20I games will proceed as planned.
