After being sidelined from selection for the Indian national team, Ishan Kishan is set to make a comeback for Jharkhand. Ishan Kishan was axed by the BCCI from the Indian cricket team for not obliging to play in the domestic circuit last season.
Kishan, alongside Shreyas Iyer, was the talk of the town, when the duo rejected BCCI's orders to play in the domestic circuit while not being on national duties. As a strict regulation, the BCCI made it a mandate for players to play in the domestic circuit, to stand a chance of being in the mix for the Men in Blue.
Upon failing to adhere to the norms, ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, the BCCI general secretary Jay Shah revealed that Ishan Kishan was not even considered for selection for the ICC event. However, as per latest updates, the Mumbai Indians star is set to make a comeback for his state side.

Is Ishan Kishan ready to make a comeback?
As per media outlet Cricbuzz, Ishan Kishan is set to make a comeback for his state Jharkhand. After making himself unavailable for the Ranji Trophy last season, Kishan has communicated to the JSCA (Jharkhand State Cricket Association) about his availability for the upcoming games before India's series against Bangladesh.
Kishan's availability for the upcoming season could also land him a leadership role for Jharkhand. However unclear, his return to his state could most certainly open the doors for a potential return in Indian colours.
His agreement to play for Jharkhand came after a few of the national selectors spoke to him about the importance of being in the reckoning for Team India, while in his prime. Kishan is 26, and has only made 61 international appearances in his career, across all three formats.
