Built in 1983 and expanded to fit 132,000 people in 2020, the Narendra Modi Stadium is the largest stadium in the world by a considerable distance.
The home of India's national team can allow 18,000 more fans than the stadium with the next-nearest capacity: the Rungrado 1st of May Stadium in North Korea.
When it comes to capacity, the eight stadiums immediately behind Rungrado 1st of May are all in the US, led by the 107,601-capacity Michigan Stadium.
Where will the IPL 2023 final be played?
The final will return to the Narendra Modi Stadium for a second successive year. A crowd of 101,566 people at last year's final, when the Titans beat the Royals, broke the record for a T20 match.
The venues for the playoff matches before the final are yet to be announced. The Narendra Modi hosted last season's Qualifier 2 match to decide who would join the Titans in the final.
