Picking up a hat-trick is considered to be one of the most difficult tasks in any form of cricket. And if you get three wickets in successive deliveries in the T20 format it has the potential to change the course of the match.

Here we look at the record of quick trebles in the IPL from 2008-2024

How many hat-tricks have been taken in the IPL?

In the IPL, this feat has been achieved 22 times across 17 seasons (including the current 2024 one) by 19 different bowlers.

In the 2023 edition of IPL, only Rashid Khan of Gujarat Titans took a hat-trick. Against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the Afghan bowler got the wickets of Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Shardul Thakur in the 17th over to derail Kolkata's run-chase
