IPL 2024 - Updated list of injured, missing players and their replacements

Last week, a press release from the BCCI provided an update on the fitness of three Indian players; Delhi Capitals' Rishabh Pant was cleared to return as a wicketkeeper-batter, for the first time after his car accident in December 2022.

However, fast bowlers Prasidh Krishna (Rajasthan Royals) and Mohammed Shami (Gujarat Titans) were ruled out of the tournament. Earlier, England internationals Mark Wood and Jason Roy were also announced to be missing this season.

On March 22, Ranji Trophy player of the tournament Tanush Kotian replaced Adam Zampa at Rajasthan Royals. The off-spinner took 29 wickets and scored 502 runs for the victorious Mumbai team.

On Thursday, March 28, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals announced Allah Ghazanfar and Keshav Maharaj as replacements for Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Prasidh Krishna respectively.

On Sunday, March 31, Wanindu Hasaranga was ruled out of the IPL due to a left heel injury. It was initially believed that the Sri Lankan bowler would miss the first week due to injury but he was later forced out of the entire tournament. Sunrisers Hyderabad had picked him for a base price of Rs 1.5 crore ahead of IPL 2024.
