The IPL 2024 auction is set to go international, scheduled to happen in Dubai on December 19. Before the teams arrive on the auction table, they are required to announce the list of their retained and released players.
What is the deadline for IPL teams to submit retention list?
There is a deadline in place for all the franchises to submit their retention lists. November 26 is the last date for the teams to announce their retained players, on the basis of which their purse for the IPL 2024 auction will be decided.
A trade window is open. Mumbai Indians were the first ones to make the use of it, locking in a cash deal with Sunrisers Hyderabad for Romario Shepherd. Avesh Khan and Devdutt Padikkal have been transferred to Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants respectively.
When is IPL 2024 auction?
The IPL 2024 auction will take place in the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on December 19. This will be the first time that an IPL auction event will not be held in India.

How will the purse of each team be decided?
All the teams have been alloted a purse of INR 100 crore each, witnessing an increase of INR 5 crore from the last year. Teams will carry on their left over purse from the previous auction, with all the additions made on the basis of released and retained players.

As reported by various media outlets, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya could return to Mumbai Indians in exchange of Rohit Sharma or Jofra Archer.
Ben Stokes will miss IPL 2024 And CSK is expected to release him. Moreover, World Cup winners Travis Head, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc are expected to throw their hat in the ring for the upcoming auction.
