Gujarat Titan's Shubman Gill was named the Player of the Tournament of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
Gill won the Orange Cap by virtue of scoring the most runs in the tournament with 890 in 17 matches and hence was adjudged as the Man of the Series.
The right-handed batsman was coming into the IPL after an exquisite few months with the Indian cricket team, scoring centuries in all formats for India. His purple patch has continued as he has been one of the protagonists of Gujarat Titans' (GT) successful campaign.
He was once again in the spotlight when GT played the final against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and although he didn't post a mammoth score, he put in a useful contribution of 39 off just 20 balls.
