The IPL 2023 has approached its business end, with teams poring over their playoff qualification chances. 

Only defending champions Gujarat Titans have secured qualification for the playoffs yet and six teams are still fighting for the three remaining spots.

Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings have been knocked out of contention already. However, the likes of Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders are still alive with at least a slim chance of making it to the playoffs.

However, some teams have playoff qualification in their own hands like CSK, LSG and RCB while others require a bit of help in terms of favourable results.

Percentage of chance of qualifying for IPL playoffs

As things stand, the highest chance of qualifying for the playoffs are for Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their qualification is in their own hands.

Mumbai Indians also have a pretty decent chance of qualifying but need maybe a few results to go their way.

Rajasthan Royals need at least two results to go their way and need margins of victories to be in favour of them. KKR, on the other hand, need a minor miracle to go through.
