Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have announced the arrival of West Indian international Johnson Charles as a replacement for Bangladeshi international Litton Das in the ongoing IPL 2023.

Litton Das had to fly back to Bangladesh last week due to a family emergency. He appeared in just one IPL game against Delhi Capitals last month.

Who is Litton Das' replacement Johnson Charles?
The 34-year-old West Indian wicket-keeper batsman is a like-for-like replacement for Das. He has represented West Indies in 41 T20Is where he scored 971 runs. He has also played 224 T20 matches in his career where he scored more than 5500 runs.
Charles joins the Kolkata-based side for INR 50 lakhs.
How has KKR performed in IPL 2023?
KKR are currently in the bottom half of the league table (eighth) with just three wins in their nine matches thus far in the competition.
