David Warner set a new record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) fixture between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) after becoming the first overseas player to score 6000 runs in the history of the tournament.
The Australian batsman reached this commendable milestone with a four off Trent Boult in the 9th over before falling to Yuzvendra Chahal at 65 (55).
Ab de Villiers, who has already retired, is at the second spot on the list of most runs scored by overseas batsmen with 5162 runs.

Warner's heroics go in vain as DC lose to RR
Warner forged a crucial 64-run partnership with Lalit Yadav, while chasing 200, which gave DC hope but still the capital-based team fell short by 57 runs of the target.
However, Warner's 65 propelled him to the top of the Orange Cap list as he now has 158 runs in three matches.
"I'll give that back [Orange] cap in a heartbeat for a couple of wins. When you are chasing 200, you got to start well in the powerplay and unfortunately, once again we lost early wickets. Can't take the credit from how good a bowler Trent Boult is in the powerplay and he bowled extremely well. It was always going to be a challenge to come out here and chase 200 with early wickets in the powerplay.
"It is just about executing your skills and when you are getting out early like that; we had a couple of chop-ons last game. We are professional athletes, and have to go back in the nets. It's about executing, and hopefully we can regroup. It's always difficult when we are losing wickets at the other end. It is frustrating. I have been hitting a lot of the fielders of late, but I will keep going out there and back myself. 175-180 was par there," he stated after the third successive loss this season.
When will Delhi Capitals play next?
DC will return to action against Mumbai Indian (MI) on Tuesday in the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
