India posted their highest total in T20Is on 12th October 2024 after they racked up a mammoth 297/6 against Bangladesh in the final match of their three-gme T20I series at Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Hyderabad.

Sanju Samson was the star of the show with a knock of 111 which saw him reach the 100-mark in just 40 balls, making it the second-quickest T20I century by an Indian.

Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya also joined in the fun as they hammered the Bangladeshi bowling all over the park.

Highest scores by India in T20 World Cups

The highest score achieved by India still remains to be the iconic 218/4 against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup. The game is celebrated by Indians to this day, remembering Yuvraj Singh’s scintillating ball hitting skills. 

Yuvraj hit six sixes in an over against the helpless Stuart Broad, becoming the first player and only player to do so in T20 World Cups. He reached his half century in a mere 12 deliveries. Broad faced Yuvraj’s wrath after a dispute with Andrew Flintoff before the start of the over.
