Abhishek Sharma laid the foundation of the brilliant innings by scoring a century off just 46 balls while while Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rinku Singh later made sure India posted a massive total.

The Men in Blue are on the back of a shock defeat in the first T20I against the Chevrons on Saturday.

Highest scores by India in T20 World Cups

The highest score achieved by India still remains to be the iconic 218/4 against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup. The game is celebrated by Indians to this day, remembering Yuvraj Singh’s scintillating ball hitting skills. 

Yuvraj hit six sixes in an over against the helpless Stuart Broad, becoming the first player and only player to do so in T20 World Cups. He reached his half century in a mere 12 deliveries. Broad faced Yuvraj’s wrath after a dispute with Andrew Flintoff before the start of the over.
