The Indian cricket team is in West Indies at the moment preparing for their upcoming series in the Caribbean Islands starting on July 12.
India will first play three Test matches, followed by three ODIs and will end the tour with a five-match T20 series.

Ahead of their first Test match against West Indies, the Indian Test team played a two-day practice match involving the players in the Test squad and mixing some West Indies cricketers.
It is a common practice among touring teams to play intra-team warm-up games to prepare themselves well and get accustomed to away conditions ahead of an actual game.
What happened in India's practice match in West Indies?
Two teams involving the players from the Indian Test squad and a few West Indies players were led by Indian captain Rohit Sharma and ace spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin.
Rohit Sharma's team included youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal along with some experienced players like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Ajinkya Rahane and Axar Patel.
To try the left-hand-right-hand combination in the opening, Jaiswal opened the innings with Sharma. The Rajasthan Royals youngster, who enjoyed a stellar IPL campaign, did not disappoint as he scored 54 off 76 balls.

While Jaiswal's form was a ray of hope for the Indian team management, Virat Kohli's off form was a big matter of concern as the talismanic batter got dismissed quickly. Sharma declared his team's innings at 191/3 in 64 overs.
Unlike Jaiswal, another player with a maiden call in the Indian test team, Chennai Super Kings' Ruturaj Gaikwad failed to deliver with his bat scoring just 14 runs off 9 balls.
Bengal and Delhi Capitals fast bowler Mukesh Kumar had a decent outing with the ball as he took two wickets. Ashwin's team declared their innings at 239/6.
What next for the Indian cricket team?
India will begin the Test series against West Indies on July 12. The three Test matches will mark the beginning of the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.
