India will fly to South Africa for a complete trip which will see the Men in Blue participate in three T20I and ODIs each and two tests.
The tour kicks off on December 10, 2023, with the first T20I taking place at Kingsmead, Durban. The teams then move on to St George's Park, Gqeberha, for the second T20I on December 12. The final clash of the T20I series is scheduled for December 14 at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

Following the T20Is, the cricketing extravaganza continues with a three-match ODI series. The team will continue to stay at Johannesburg for the first ODI and then will head back to St George's Park, Gqeberha for the second match. The ODI series ends at Bolan Paarl on December 21.
The tour concludes with a two-match Test series, a format that promises to be a riveting contest between India and South Africa. The two test matches will be held at SuperSport Park in Centurion and Newlands in Cape Town.

Is Virat Kohli available for the South Africa trip?
As reported by The Indian Express, Kohli will miss out on the white-ball leg of the tour as he has asked for a break. Kohli has conveyed it to the BCCI and the selectors that for the moment, he wants to focus on Tests, meaning he will play the red-ball matches in South Africa.
A source said to The Indian Express: "He (Kohli) has informed the BCCI and selectors that he needs a break from white-ball cricket and he will get back to them about when he wants to play white-ball cricket next. At the moment he has informed the BCCI that he will be playing red-ball cricket, which means he is available for selection for the two Test matches in South Africa."
Kohli is currently enjoying his time off from cricket in London. He was the Player of the Tournament in the ODI World Cup 2024, scoring 765 runs in 11 matches.
