On Thursday, the BCCI announced the Team India squad for the fifth and final Test match against England, set to start on March 7 in Dharamsala.

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who was rested for the fourth Test in Ranchi, is set to return to the squad. However, batter KL Rahul, who was injured after the first Test, has been ruled out of the final one as well.
The BCCI also announced that all-rounder Washington Sundar was released from the squad, in order for him to link up with his state team, Tamil Nadu, for their Ranji Trophy semi-final against Mumbai.

What did BCCI say about Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul?
In an official statement released on Tuesday, BCCI wrote,
Mr. KL Rahul, whose participation in the final IDFC First Bank Test was subject to fitness, has been ruled out of the fifth and final Test in Dharamsala. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring him and coordinating with specialists in London for further management of his issue.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jasprit Bumrah who was released from the squad for the 4th Test in Ranchi, will link-up with the squad in Dharamsala for the 5th Test.
