It was raining runs for India at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on the reserve day of their Super Four fixture against Pakistan.

After the India openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill exuded dominance with their 121-run opening stand on Sunday, their number three and four - Virat Kohli and KL Rahul - went a notch higher, smashing the Pakistan bowlers to all corners of the park in their undefeated 233-run partnership.

​​​​​Amidst the carnage, both Kohli and Rahul brought up their centuries as India rollicked to 356/2 in 50 overs.

Interestingly, this happens to be the joint-highest total for India in ODIs versus Pakistan. 

What are India's highest scores in ODIs versus Pakistan?

India equalled their own record of scoring the highest total against Pakistan in ODI cricket. While they hammered 356 runs on September 11, Monday, interestingly, a similar score was achieved in 2005 in a fixture where MS Dhoni announced his arrival.
