In a recent announcement, Mohsin Naqvi expressed confidence that the Champions Trophy 2025 will be hosted in Pakistan.
Naqvi emphasized that the PCB is actively engaging with all participating cricket boards and reassured that there are no concerns regarding Shah's appointment as ICC Chairman.
“Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan, we are in touch with the BCCI Secretary.[We are] also in contact with the boards of the teams participating in the Champions Trophy. There is no problem with Jay Shah becoming ICC Chairman,” Mohsin Naqvi said to SAMAA TV.

Naqvi also revealed that the PCB is making significant preparations to ensure the venues are ready in time, with renovations underway at Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.
"We will try to complete the construction work at the Gaddafi Stadium till December 31. The front building of the Gaddafi Stadium will be made up of steel," he said.
Speaking about the upgrade of the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Naqvi said: "The Pindi Cricket Stadium will not be upgraded as of now. It is a waste of money to invest in the Pindi Cricket Stadium right now."
