Last Sunday, India took on Australia in the final of the 2023 World Cup in Ahmedabad.
In front of an expectant crowd of over 90,000 the Men in Blue were humbled as Australia outplayed them to secure a sixth World Cup title. But the cricketing action continues, just four days after that final as the two sides meet in the first of a five-match T20 series.
With one eye on the T20 World Cup next June, this could be an important series for both sides. Both of them are set to play just 11 T20s before the global event. India have rested several of their World Cup stars for this series, while Australia have included seven members in this squad.
