India vs Australia 4th T20I: Scorecard, result, highlights as India win the series with a game to spare image

After a disappointing defeat at the hands of Australia in the ODI World Cup final, India got back to winning ways as they won back-to-back T20 matches against the Aussies in the ongoing series.

However, Glenn Maxwell inspired the 2021 T20 WC Champions to an incredible win in Guwahati to keep the series alive heading into the fourth T20I.

With one eye on the T20 World Cup next June, this could be an important series for both sides. Both of them are set to play just 11 T20s before the global event.

Check out our live blog below to relive all the action from the Cricket World Cup 2023 final match.

10:31 PM: INDIA WIN THE MATCH IN RAIPUR BY 20 RUNS! India claim series win over Australia with one match to go. Suryakumar's stellar captaincy sees him lift the trophy in his maiden bilateral series win as captain. A complete team effort from the Men in Blue in Raipur, as Australia fall 21 runs short off the 175-run target. Australia finish at 154-7 after 20 overs.

10:23 PM: Mukesh Kumar gets ready to bowl the penultimate over, as Australia require 40 runs off the final two overs. The visitors are 136-7 after 18 overs, with skipper Matthew Wade being their last hope.

10:21 PM: WICKET! Avesh Khan gets into the act! Khan gets his first, as Ben Dwarshius is the fourth Aussie batter to see his stumps fly out. The runchase is coming to a toxic end for Australia, as Matthew Wade stands staring at the collapse from the non-striker's end. Ben Dwarshuis 1(2), b Avesh Khan. AUS 133-7 (17.3).

10:14 PM: WICKET! Deepak Chahar strikes again! Deepak Chahar picks his second wicket, with Jaiswal picking as many catches. The Australian middle-order, full of opening batsmen, struggled to get going in the run chase. Another opener bites the dust as the visitors got their team selection wrong in Raipur. Matthew Short 22(19), c Jaiswal b Deepak Chahar. AUS 126-6 (16.4).

10:11 PM: Australia are 122/5 after 16 overs. We are up for a cracking end to the game, as Matthew Wade and Matthew Short go aggressive against the pacers. The Aussies need 53 runs in the final four to keep their hopes alive in the series.

10:01 PM: WICKET! Deepak Chahar strikes! The speedster finally earned his wicket after going to the cleaners in his first spell. Tim David's struggle in the middle is cut-short by an off-pace delivery by Deepak Chahar. Australia's run-chase coming to a premature end, or is there a twist in the tale? Tim David 19(20), c Jaiswal b Deepak Chahar. AUS 107-5 (14.4).

9:47 PM: WICKET! Axar strikes again! Patel gets the last laugh after being hit for a boundary on the previous ball. Ben McDermott's miseries finally come to an end, as he sees the stumps light up, just three balls after being handed a life by the DRS. Ben McDermott 19(22), b Axar Patel. AUS 87-4 (11.2)

9:41 PM: Decision Overturned!  After being given out by the umpire, McDermott decides to challenge the decision, and is saved! The miseries continue for McDermott - 15 off 20 - on the pitch, as he struggles to find any connection between the ball and his blade.

9:38 PM: AUS 76-3 (10) at the halfway stage. Australia are three runs behind India, at the same stage. The visitors need 99 off 60 deliveries to level the series. Tim David hit a sixer in the previous over, but can he keep going? David will have to bat deep as McDermott seems to be struggling in the middle. Can India clinch the series, or will Australia take it down to the series-decider?

9:22 PM: WICKET! INDIA ON TOP! Axar bowls a turner at 85 kmph, fooling Hardie with the pace. Australia have lost three wickets for 12 runs in the last 21 balls. Can Tim David take responsibility in the absence of Glenn Maxwell? The visitors need to get their heads back in the game. Aaron Hardie 8(9), b Axar Patel. AUS 52-3 (6.3)

9:19 PM: Australia are 52-2 after the batting powerplay. The Aussie openers have done the damage to the hosts, as Travis Head took Deepak Chahar to the cleaners in the second over. After a solid start, the visitors would look to build on, despite losing two quick wickets. Bishnoi looks on top of his game here. India have faced two umpire's calls, as Australia survive another scare.

9:11 PM: WICKET! Travis Head DEPARTS! Two wickets in two overs for Team India! The spin-twins at work for the Men in Blue. Axar Patel dismisses the dangerous southpaw. He would be happy with the knock, despite his error. Travis Head 31(16), c Mukesh Kumar b Axar Patel. AUS 44-2 (4.4)

9:07 PM: WICKET! After a blistering start, Australia lose their first wicket. Josh Philippe's short stay at the crease, comes to an end. Ravi Bishnoi - India's go-to man this series, continues his purple patch. Josh Philippe 8(7), b Bishnoi. AUS 40-1 (3.1)

8:38 PM: End of innings, IND 174-9 (20) - India have set a target of 175 runs for Australia. The Men in Blue will be the team that would be disappointed heading into the innings break as they would feel they are 20-25 runs short. The team lost five wickets in the last two overs after vital contributions from Jaiswal, Ruturaj, Rinku, and Jitesh. Can India defend this total and wrap up the series or will the Aussies make it 2-2?

8:34 PM: WICKET! Behrendorff bags his second wicket. Deepak Chahar went for the big one but mistimes it and it's another easy catch for Chris Green at long-on. Deepak Chahar 0(2), c Green b Behrendorff. IND 169-8 (19.3)

8:32 PM: WICKET! A huge blow for India this. Rinku Singh has been trapped in front with a pinpoint yorker from Jason Behrendorff. Rinku took the review but umpire's call meant that the decision would not be overturned. India have lost their third wicket in the space of four balls. Nevertheless, Rinku walks back after another fine knock. Rinku Singh 46(29), lbw b Behrendorff. IND 168-7 (19.1)

8:28 PM: WICKET! Another one bites the dust! And this time, it's Axar Patel who has been dismissed for a golden duck. Dwarshuis bowled this one a bit short, sliding down leg but on the body. Axar guided the ball aerially towards the fine leg region but Tanveer Sangha completes a regulation catch at the boundary. Axar Patel 0(1), c Sangha b Dwarshuis. IND 168-6 (18.5)

8:25 PM: WICKET! India lose their fifth wicket in the form of the impressive Jitesh Sharma, who scores 35 runs off just 19 balls. It's a good cameo from the wicketkeeper. Dwarshuis gets his second wicket of the evening. Jitesh Sharma 35(19), c Head b Dwarshuis. IND 167-5 (18.4)

8:08 PM: IND 129-4 (15) - Just five overs left in this innings and the two men at the crease, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma - who are destructive in death overs - will hope to end the innings with a flourish.

8:00 PM: WICKET! Ruturaj Gaikwad has to walk back to the pavilion. Just when he was starting to get into his groove, he is sent back. Sangha bowls a loopy delivery just outside off. Ruturaj tries to play an inside out shot, but he edges it straight to Ben Dwarshuis at short third. The ominous partnership has been broken. Ruturaj Gaikwad 32(28), c Dwarshuis b Sangha. IND 111-4 (13.2)

7:45 PM: IND 79-3 (10) at the halfway stage. India have gotten off to a decent start, but will regret losing three back-to-back wickets. Ruturaj Gaikwad looks well set on the crease but it will be a big opportunity for Rinku Singh to show that he is much more than just your typical T20 finisher.

7:38 PM: WICKET! Ben Dwarshuis gets the big fish! Suryakumar Yadav lasts just two balls and has to depart. India in a spot of bother as they lose their third wicket in the space of 15 balls. Suryakumar Yadav 1(2), c Wade b Dwarshuis. IND 63-3 (8.1)

7:34 PM: WICKET! Shreyas Iyer mistimes the ball and gives a simple catch to Chris Green at long-on. Leggie Tanveer Sangha pitches this one up a bit higher and lures Iyer into going for a big hit, but the batsman couldn't get the desired connection and has to depart. Shreyas Iyer 8(7), c Green b Sangha. IND 62-2 (7.5)

7:27 PM: End of PowerPlay, IND 50-1 (6) - India lose Yashasvi Jaiswal on the final ball of the PowerPlay as Aaron Hardie gets his first wicket. The southpaw got India off to a flier but perishes after a promising 37-run knock. In comes Shreyas Iyer, who is playing his first game in this series.

7:00 PM: Alright, the Indian openers are out in the middle and the players have entered the pitch. This T20I promises to be a mouth-watering encounter. Both sides have made at least a couple of changes to their XI so it'll be interesting to see how the teams match up today.

Welcome to the Live Blog for the 4th T20I between India and Australia in Raipur.

IND vs AUS: Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium pitch report

This stadium located in Raipur has hosted just one international game, which was an ODI between India and New Zealand earlier this year. It's the first time a T20I is being hosted on this venue. The ground has relatively bigger boundaries (74m all around the ground), which could help assist the spinners. However, dew is likely to play a huge factor, so the captain winning the toss would opt to bowl first.
