Pakistan fast-bowler Haris Rauf has a challenge for himself. Even though Rauf has been performing brilliantly for Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023, he is not satisfied with just that and aims to be the 'Player of the Series.'
Rauf's four wicket-haul in the opening fixture of the Super Fours, against Bangladesh, earned him the Player of the Match award. He dismissed Mohammad Naim, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Taskin Ahmed as Bangladesh folded for a paltry score of 193 runs.

Speaking in the post-match presentation, the pacer stated that he has bigger goals to achieve with the 'Player of the Series' on top of it all. He also mentioned how the Pakistan Super League experience helped him in handling hot weather conditions in Lahore.
"It was hot out there, but I've played a lot of cricket here. I play PSL for Lahore, and the crowd always expects us to perform here. Before any game, we do plan as a bowling unit. We talk about bowling to different plans based on the game phase. Hard length was tough to play here, and the plan was to keep bowling stump to stump. Didn't need to go to the yorker today," Rauf was quoted as saying.
"I keep working hard and I have high goals for myself, I want to be the Player of the Series in this Asia Cup, let's see how the tournament proceeds," he added.
