Tanmay Agarwal broke a couple of world records en route to scoring 366 runs - the fourth-highest first-class score by an Indian - for Hyderabad in their Ranji Trophy game against Arunachal Pradesh. 

Agarwal reached his triple century in just 147 balls, breaking South African cricketer Marco Marais' record for the fastest triple century in FC cricket. Marais, who represented Border, scored his triple ton in 191 balls against Eastern Province in the 2017-18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup.

Not just that, but Agarwal also broke the world record for most sixes in a FC innings, smashing as many as 26 sixes. The previous record was held by New Zealand's Colin Munro, who hit 23 sixes while representing Auckland in a game against Central Districts.

West Indies legend Brian Lara holds the record of registering the highest individual score in first-class cricket, scoring 501* for Warwickshire against Durham in a County Championship game in 1994. 

Lara, along with late Australian cricketer Bill Ponsford, is the only batsman to register more than one first-class score of at least 400 runs.

Maharashtra's Bhausaheb Nimbalkar holds the record of scoring the most runs in a first-class innings by an Indian batsman. He is also the only Indian batsman to score over 400 runs in a FC innings.
