How many players are in T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 squad?
According to the ICC rules, each team must name a squad of fifteen players for the tournament. Only eleven will be allowed on the field at any point of time, but substitute fielders and concussion substitutes can be made from the four members not taking part in the match.
It addition, it is left up to the teams to decide whether they want to name additional players to bring along as 'travelling reserves'. These players are not allowed to take part in matches but are often valuable to teams as they will accompany the squad and take part in net sessions.

It makes selection and logistics easier for the team. For this T20 World Cup, any changes to the original squad of fifteen, made after May 25 (including injuries) need to be approved by the ICC before they can go ahead.
