India also became the first-ever team to win the T20 World Cup without losing a single match. The Men in Blues played, and won eight of the nine scheduled games, with the match-up against Canada being declared a 'No Result' in the group stage.

How did India win the T20 World Cup 2024?
GROUP STAGE
INDIA VS IRELAND: WIN
India beat Ireland by eight wickets to kick off their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. The European minnows were a cakewalk for the eventual champions, who chased the 97-run target in under 13 overs.
INDIA VS PAKISTAN: WIN
India beat Pakistan in the clash of the arch-rivals on June 9 in New York. A close game saw the Men in Blue emerge victorious by just six runs. India defended the low total of 119, restricting Pakistan to 113/7 in their 20 overs.
Had India lost this one game, in hindsight, they would have not even qualified for the Super 8s, let alone go on to lift the trophy.
INDIA VS USA: WIN
Arshdeep Singh starred in India's third group stage game, in the win against the United States. The Men in Blue chased the 111-run target in only the penultimate over (with 20 balls to spare), with the USA showing grit throughout the run-chase.
INDIA VS CANADA: NO RESULT
The rain-affected match between India and Canada was eventually washed out, with the game ending in a 'No Result'.

INDIA VS AFGHANISTAN: WIN
India beat Afghanistan by 47 runs, scoring 181 after batting first. Suryakumar Yadav starred with a 53-run knock. Spearhead pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh later guided the team to another victory, picking three wickets each.
INDIA VS BANGLADESH: WIN
In yet another Super 8 game against the Asian side, India beat Bangladesh by 50 runs, scoring 196 after being put into bat. Hardik Pandya's all-round performance meant that India were within touching distance from the T20 World Cup semi-final.
INDIA VS AUSTRALIA: WIN
India beat arch-rivals and ODI World Cup 2023 co-finalists, Australia on their route to the semis. The revenge was sweet, as Australia failed to qualify for the semi-finals, courtesy of this loss. Rohit Sharma's 92 propelled the team to a 24-run win over the OZ nation.
T20 WORLD CUP 2024 SEMI-FINAL
INDIA VS ENGLAND: WIN
India registered a one-sided 68-run victory over defending champions England in the semis. Yet another revenge, this time from the T20 World Cup 2022. England were bundled up for 103, courtesy of a bowling masterclass from Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav (bagged three wickets each).

INDIA BEAT SOUTH AFRICA BY 7 RUNS TO WIN THE T20 WORLD CUP 2024. ROHIT SHARMA & CO. DEFENDED THE 176-RUN TOTAL, RESTRICTING THE OPPOSITION TO 169 RUNS.
