Ollie Robinson has been named in England's Playing XI for the first time this series. The 30-year-old has replaced the outgoing Mark Wood for the Test match in Ranchi. England are 2-1 down in the series, and Mark Wood, who was lacklustre in the series, has been replaced by Robinson.

England have been in a spot of bother since the previous game. The visitors were handed a bashing by a star-studded Indian line-up in Rajkot. So much so, that it became India's largest win in a Test match ever, by the margin of runs - 434. Going into Ranchi, Ben Stokes' men would be bolstered by two new faces in the line-up, Shoaib Bashir, and Ollie Robinson.

The fourth Test in Ranchi is scheduled from Friday, February 23, 2024, with the final day to be played on February 27.

That being said, have England given themselves a lifeline here? Robinson has been a menace against India in the past. The 30-year-old speedster has managed to harass the Indian batters, but in his own backyard. The bigger question for visitors would be, would Robinson recreate his magic on alien soil?
