When it was announced that Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan will be the owner of a Kolkata-based team in the Indian Premier League (IPL), a lot of fans - both from Kolkata and outside it - had huge expectations from this franchise.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) did make their fans' dream of winning an IPL trophy true not just once, but twice, becoming the only other team apart from Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to win multiple IPLs.
Although they went all the way in 2012 and 2014, and have had a few appearances in the IPL playoffs, KKR's wait for their third IPL title seems eternally elusive.
This year, they have collected 12 points from 14 games and sit in seventh position, in a pack of several sides still in the hunt to make the top four.
With that in mind, let's take a look at how the Knight Riders can qualify for the play-offs.
