The countdown has begun. The biggest cricketing clash in the last four years is upon us as fans await the commencement of the ODI World Cup 2023 final.

Hosts India will face the five-time World champions Australia on Sunday, November 19. The grand cricketing spectacle will unfold at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad as 1,30,000 people will witness India's Rohit Sharma or Australia's Pat Cummins hoisting the trophy live from the venue.

The Men in Blue have not won an ICC title in the last 10 years. While the Indian fans are excited for the prospect that Rohit and Co. could lay their hands over the trophy, there is also a sense of nervousness regarding the defeat.

In a country as religious as India, people often resort to God to seek the blessings for an auspicious work. And as cricket is treated no less than a religion in India, is has become customary for the fans to unite their connection with God and the sport.

Let us have a look at a such few practices, which were done before the World Cup 2023 final.

How are Indian fans preparing for World Cup 2023 final?

In what is known as India's cricketing epicenter, Mumbai, a havan is being performed by fans for the team's success in the World Cup 2023 final.

A special puja was performed at Palayathamman Ganesha Temple in Chennai with the hope that India beat Australia to lift the World Cup trophy.

In another part of Tamil Nadu, Madurai, devotees performed of ritual of breaking 1,008 coconuts for India's victory.

In Ahmedabad, where the title clash is scheduled, fans performed a havan, praying for India's triumph. 

Students from the Gurukul Art School made paintings of the players to express their support to Team India.

Kolkata also joined in on the pre-match wishes. In the City of Joy, a hot air balloon was released in the air, sending a message of India's win.
