Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf faced another challenging outing in the third T20I against New Zealand in Dunedin on January 17 after he conceded a whopping 60 runs in his four overs.

Despite being 0-2 down in the best-of-five series, Pakistan chose to field first after losing the opening two games while chasing.

Rauf initially showed promise by dismissing Devon Conway with his second delivery. However, Finn Allen took him to the cleaners in the final over of the powerplay, scoring 28 runs.

Allen's outstanding performance saw him score a remarkable 137 off 62 balls, helping the Kiwis to post an imposing total of 224/7 in 20 overs. Rauf conceded an alarming 51 runs in his second and third overs combined, concluding with figures of 2/60 in four overs.

This performance marked the fourth most expensive bowling spell by a Pakistani bowler in T20Is. However, he had better figures in the first two games when he finished with 2/34 and 3/38 in his respective spells of four over each.

What did Shaheen Afridi say?

However, Shaheen Afridi was kind to his teammate and hailed him as the best T20 bowler.

Speaking to reporters, Afridi said: "Haris Rauf is our best T20 bowler. When we win you rate him as the best, but when we lose then he is the problem. Matt Henry also conceded 50+ runs, it happens".
