India’s dynamic all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, made a strong statement with his performance during the first T20I against Bangladesh in Gwalior.

Pandya started the match by making an impact with the ball. He bowled an economical spell, claiming one wicket for 26 runs in his four overs. However, it was his power-packed batting display that truly stole the spotlight, leaving fans and opponents awestruck.

WATCH: Hardik Pandya's special batting cameo with no-look upper cut

Hardik’s batting blitz began in the 12th over, where he launched a series of powerful strokes to finish the game in style.

His highlight moment was a sensational no-look upper cut off Taskin Ahmed that sailed over the wicketkeeper’s head.

This was followed by a fierce pull shot, where his bat slipped from his hand but still managed to connect perfectly, sending the ball racing to the boundary.

How did India fare in the 1st T20I?

Chasing a modest total of 127, India comfortably achieved the target with seven wickets in hand and 49 balls to spare.

Other than Pandya’s finishing flourish, Varun Chakravarthy impressed with career-best figures on his T20I return, while debutant Mayank Yadav showed his potential with the ball.

Sanju Samson’s and Suryakumar Yadav's composed start ensured that the team was on course before Pandya’s onslaught sealed the victory.

When and where is the next T20I match?

India will look to seal the series when they face Bangladesh in the second T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 9. The final match will be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on October 12.
