After leading KKR to victory in the 2012 and 2014 IPL seasons, Gambhir left KKR at the end of the 2017 season. He then rejoined the Delhi Capitals. In the subsequent years, Gambhir took on the role of mentor for the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.
During his mentorship, the franchise reached the playoff stage in both years.
Apart from his involvement with IPL teams, Gambhir also transitioned into a broadcasting career. He has been working with Star Sports as an expert and was part of the broadcasting team during the Asia Cup earlier this year.
