Former Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star batsman Ambati Rayudu unleashed a myriad of facts and gave a brutal explanation behind why Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have never won an Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy.
RCB are facing a similar story in IPL 2024 as they have lost three out of the four matches they have played. They currently languish in ninth spot in the table, just above MI.

They were handed yet another reality check by KL Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), with youngster Mayank Yadav wreaking havoc, claiming the important wickets of Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, and Rajat Patidar.
Speaking on Star Sports Cricket Live, Rayudu explained the reasons behind RCB's struggles and opined why they have never won an IPL title.

Ambati Rayudu minces no words while speaking about Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Rayudu believes that there are no designated world-class finishers in RCB's ranks, which leaves the youngsters or Dinesh Karthik to deal with all the pressure which emerges in the wake of the departures of top order guns like Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Cameron Green.
I feel that their bowling always leaks a lot of runs, and their batting has been under par. Look who bats in the pressure situations for them? Young Indian batters and Dinesh Karthik. Your big-name players who are international players are supposed to take pressure. Where are they? All of them back in the dressing room. This has been happening for over 16 years for this team.
This has been their story. When there is pressure, we cannot find any big-name players, all young players are coming down the order. Your big-name players go to the top of the order and eat the cream. A team like this will never win. This is the reason why they have not won IPL thus far.
What next for Royal Challengers Bengaluru?
This has indeed been a disappointing season for RCB so far. They do not boast world-class names in the bowling unit except Mohammed Siraj, who has been out of form himself.
Barring Kohli, who has scored 203 runs in four innings, none of Faf, Maxwell, or Green have taken the initiative to shoulder the batting responsibility and create an impact.
It is reminiscent of the RCB super teams from the past, which comprised of Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers.
RCB's next game is away at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday (April 6), against the Rajasthan Royals.
