The 2024 T20 World Cup has been a struggle for batsmen so far. However, former champions Australia have set the bar high with a terrific batting display against England.

In the latest encounter between the two teams at Barbados on Saturday, Australia achieved the first 200-plus score of the tournament.

Australia's opening batsmen, Travis Head and David Warner, attacked the England bowling attack right from get-go. They put up a 70-run partnership for the first wicket in just 30 balls.

The team's aggressive approach, especially in the powerplay overs, got them to their highest team total in the T20 world cup, and also became the first team to breach the 200-run mark in the tournament. They ended up scoring 201/7 in 20 overs.
