Mohammad Rizwan was run out quite hilariously against Nepal as the Pakistan batsman tried to get away from the line of the ball in their Asia Cup campaign opener in Multan on Wednesday afternoon.
Babar Azam and Rizwan provided the much-needed stability for the home team after Pakistan faced a setback with both their opening batsmen departing in quick succession. Fakhar Zaman's innings of 14 runs was short-lived despite a strong start, and Imam-ul-Haq could score only five before he was also run out courtesy of a precise direct throw.

Subsequently, Babar and Rizwan collaborated for an 86-run partnership for the second wicket. Unfortunately, Rizwan fell victim to a lapse in running judgment, capitalizing on Nepal's sharp fielding.
How did Mohammad Rizwan get run out?
Rizwan drove the ball towards cover-point and took off for a single. Rizwan was almost at the crease but altered his path to avoid the throw, causing him to miss the crease entirely with his body and bat. Instead of bending forward, he straightened up just as he approached the crease, missing a clear opportunity to complete the single due to unnecessary distraction.
A combination of Rizwan's lapse in judgment and Airee's agile fielding resulted in Pakistan losing a valuable partnership. The frustration was palpable in the Pakistani camp with Babar Azam expressing his disappointment by throwing away his bat.
