How did the fans react to Sourav Ganguly taking credit over Rohit Sharma's captaincy appointment?

Fans are fuming over Sourav Ganguly's narcissistic statement on media outlet Aaj Tak. Ganguly credited himself with Rohit Sharma's captaincy appointment. The fans have tweeted against the former India skipper, so much so, that they in turn expressed solidarity towards former India coach, Greg Chappell.

My perception of Greg Chappell was wrong at first, He was a great coach but he got a bad captain who used to spread politics in the team, a fan quoted on X.

A fan expressed how he lost all his respect for former India skipper, Sourav Ganguly.  He labelled Ganguly as greedy and classless. The fan also reminded others about how Ganguly promoted gambling game during his BCCI presidency.

I have lost all respect for this man and his tenure. It reminded me of why Greg Chappell was right about this man. This man was so classless and greedy. While being the president of the BCCI, he continued to promote My11Circle and fantasy gambling games, another fan tweeted in favour of Greg Chappell, and against Sourav Ganguly.

Another fan called Ganguly as 'very self-obsessed person'.
