Why does India ODI jersey have three stars?

The two stars over the BCCI logo in the jersey commemorates India’s triumphs in International Cricket Council's (ICC) One Day tournaments.

The three stars symbolize India’s two ODI World Cup victories in 1983, 2011, and the Champions Trophy triumph in 2013.

How many ICC trophies have India won in the ODI format?

Team India have won three ICC trophies in the One Day format so far.

The country's first ever major trophy in cricket came during the 1983 World Cup, which was a 60-over tournament, under the captaincy of Kapil Dev, which kicked off the sport's popularity in India.

The next two ICC trophies came under the leadership of the legendary captain MS Dhoni, who led India to two ODI tournament triumphs - in the 2011 ODI World Cup at home, and the 50-over 2013 Champions Trophy held in England & Wales.
