Nothing has been going right for the defending champions England in their title-defence journey. England lost their game against South Africa on Saturday, making it three losses out of four for the 2019 World Champions.
South Africa dismantled the English bowling attack, scoring 399 runs in 50 overs. Having to chase 400, the English batters seemed off the task right from the get go. England lost their eighth wicket for 100, and had a 70-run partnership for the ninth-wicket.
After the loss, former India batter Wasim Jaffer took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a banter with a reference to a popular TV series.The friendly jibe was aimed at his English counterpart Michael Vaughan. The duo are infamous to be involved in friendly banters and digs over social media.
