The idyllic Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala will host the fifth Test between India and England, which begins on Thursday, March 7. 

India have already bagged the series following their five-wicket win in Ranchi in the fourth Test to go 3-1 up. England won the series opener, but it has been India all over in the last three games. 

There has been a lot of buzz regarding the weather conditions and the nature of the pitch in Dharamsala leading up to the fifth Test.

The conditions on Day 1 will test the ability of the team that bats first to the fullest extent. The average temperature throughout the playing time (9:30 AM to 4:30 PM IST) is predicted to be around 9°C. It's going to be very chilly and cloudy, with humidity levels as high as 63%.

Weather forecast in Dharamsala: What happens if India vs England is stopped by rain?

If rain stops/prevents play from beginning on Day 1, then the umpires and players will have to wait for some sunlight to appear and for the overcast conditions to improve in order to resume the play. If the entire day gets wiped out, then action will resume on Day 2 unless weather conditions play spoilsport.
