On Day 1, South Zone took on North Zone, Central Zone faced East Zone while North East Zone locked horns against West Zone.

What is the Deodhar Trophy? All you need to know
The Deodhar Trophy is a List A inter-zonal domestic cricket tournament in India named after Professor D.B Deodhar, who was fondly known as the grand old man of Indian cricket and played between 1911 and 1948.
The tournament was first started in the 1973-74 season and North Zone have won the most number of titles (13) in the tournament's history.
