Delhi Capitals (DC) will host Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday, May 13 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
DC are currently tenth in the table with eight points, while PBKS are placed eighth with 10 points. Both sides have played 11 games.
The two teams have participated in the tournament right from its inception in 2008, taking part in all 16 seasons. They have met each other 30 times and have won 15 games apiece. Though DC is taking on PBKS for the first time this season, they have the mental edge as they defeated the Kings in both their meetings last year.
If PBKS were to win they could jump up to fifth in the league standings and give themselves a better chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, for DC a victory would only be a consolation, as they are unlikely to make it to the playoffs. A loss against Chennai Super Kings in their previous match had dented their chance of moving ahead in the competition.

Here is a comprehensive guide on the pitch report, live toss, predicted lineups and team news ahead of DC taking on CSK.
DC vs PBKS pitch report
DC are set to take on PBKS at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Previously known as the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, the ground has a capacity of 41,842 and is considered to be one of the most historic cricket venues in India. It is the second oldest cricket stadium in the country, after Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium is an ideal pitch for batsmen, as its dry nature combined with short boundaries allows the batsman to clear the boundary easily. However, the parched wicket is also known to aid spinners as the game goes on.
59 metres and 69 metres square boundaries. Straight it is 74. 168 is the average first innings score. There isn't any grass on this surface and the bounce is also quite low here. The batters might perhaps target straight, use their feet and once they get set perhaps use the square boundaries. Because of the low bounce and the ball not coming on nicely, probably chasing a better option - with inputs from Kevin Pietersen and Samuel Badree.
