Punjab Kings (PBKS) won the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by four wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Batting first CSK put 200 on the board courtesy of Devon Conway's brilliant 92. MS Dhoni also chipped in with a cameo getting 13 off four to get to the double hundred-mark.
In response, Prabhsimran Singh and Shikhar Dhawan set the foundation for Liam Livingstone to go for the big hits in the middle of the innings. However, in the end, it was Sikandar Raza's 13 off seven that helped PBKS get over the line.
Courtesy of this win, PBKS climb to the fifth spot with 10 points in their kitty from nine matches while CSK remain in fourth place with equal points but ahead on NRR.

CSK vs PBKS: Live Updates
Check back here for all the build-up and action from the match itself.
19:22: PBKS HAVE DONE IT! Sikandar Raza does it for Punjab. His team needed three off the last ball and he gets behind the line of the ball to help it over backward square leg who was inside the ring to guide his team over the line. The right-handed batter played his part with 13 off seven that helped Punjab to get their second win on the trot.
18:45- CSK have stifled PBKS' scoring rate with their slowers. At the end of the 15th over, they are 129 for three with Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone on the crease. This is a key partnership and one of them must stay till the end to keep going in the death overs.
18:04- PBKS have got off to a tremendous start as they have put 62 on the board for the loss of one wicket at the end of powerplay. Tushar Deshpande removed Dhawan (28 off 15) but Singh (32 off 18) is showing no signs of slowing down and is helping his team keep up with the required rate.
17: 32- PBKS start their chase with skipper Shikhar Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh at the crease!
Singh has been brought in as an impact substitute during the innings break in place of Kagiso Rabada.
While CSK have got Akash Singh replacing Ambati Rayadu.
17:17- CSK reach 200 in their 20 overs with the loss of four wickets. MS Dhoni ended their innings with two ballistic maximums which sent the Cheapuk crowd into an absolute frenzy. But, kudos to Conway who remained unbeaten at 92 from just 52 balls.
PBKS have a target of 201. Can they do it on a wicket which has already shown signs of slowing down? Stay tuned for the chase.
16:38 - The Yellow Army are cruising at 130 for 2 at the end of 14 overs. Gaikwad fell to Sikandar Raza at 37 (31) and Shivam Dube (28 off 17) who was going all guns blazing was sent back to the dugout by Arshdeep. The pacer was brought back into the attack to break the partnership and he delivered the goods. However, Conway is still at the crease and will now further look to accelerate after completing his 50. Moeen Ali is at the other end.
16:00- CSK are sailing smoothly at their home turf and have posted 57 on the board for no loss in the powerplay. Gaikwad (30 off 21) and Conway (23 off 15) are playing risk-free cricket and yet getting their job done. There is little help for the bowlers on this flat track but things could get interesting if the spinners could hold back their length a bit and tempt the batsmen as the pitch tends to get slower midway through the innings.
15:30- Live action from Chennai! Here we go...The usual suspects in Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway are the openers for Chennai while Arshdeep Singh is charging in with the new ball for PBKS.

14:50- Pitch Report: "Sun is beaming down at us. There is a bit of a breeze that might provide some respite. 68 meters across to my right, 63 meters to the left. Straight down the ground is 78 meters. This is a very dry wicket. Very little live grass on it. Will get slower and lower. CSK spinners have taken 26 wickets this season, PBKS only 10. Top order batters need to be aware about taking the powerplay on. Have to take risks. Will get harder and harder later on. 180 will be a very good score in a day game here," stated Samuel Badree and Aaron Finch during the pitch report.
14:45- Welcome to TSN's live coverage of CSK vs PBKS. It is a hot & sunny afternoon in Chennai and hopefully, there will be no disruptions to the proceedings.
Can Deshpande and Pathirana star again for CSK?
Though Chepauk is not pace-friendly wicket, CSK will hope Tushar Deshpande and Matheesha Pathirana can have an effect against Kings.
Deshpande has been amongst the wickets this season, picking up 14 in total despite giving away some runs. Pathirana, on the other hand, has been a huge asset for Dhoni at the death, thanks to his unorthodox 'Malinga-style' action.
Basics done right in the pace department 🙌 🤝#CSKvPBKS #WhistlePodu #Yellove 🦁💛 @TusharD_96 @matheesha_9 pic.twitter.com/GfBgeaUPaZ

Rayudu key against Chahar?
Ambati Rayudu has generally been used as an impact player by CSK this season but he hasn't performed up to the expectations so far. However, he could play an important role against Punjab's primary spinner Rahul Chahar.
Rayudu has a great record against Chahar who has not picked a wicket in the last five matches.
Can Punjab curb CSK's strong batting lineup?
CSK have scored the most runs in the tournament so far and curbing that strong batting lineup will be key for Punjab. And at Chepauk, the likes of Rahul Chahar and Sikandar Raza will have a huge role to play.
Can they keep the likes of Gaikwad, Conway, Dube, Rahane in check?
CSK vs PBKS: Pitch Report
The MA Chidambaram stadium has a spin-friendly wicket that slows down as the match progresses. However, stroke play should be relatively easy, especially in the first innings. The team that wins the toss is expected to bat first.
