The world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt just shared a fun moment with the Universe boss, Chris Gayle on his X account. Bolt and Gayle are two of the biggest names in sports and both have been veterans in their respective sports, breaking a number of records on the international stage.

Former Olympic and world champion Bolt has been named the brand ambassador for the ICC 2024 T20 World Cup, which will be held in the West Indies and USA.

In the clip that Bolt shared, Gayle talked about how good Bolt’s bowling was and although he hit him for a few sixes and boundaries, he eventually got him out after Gayle caught an inside edge and onto the stumps. Gayle also mentioned that Bolt could bowl some very good bouncers even though he didn’t play cricket professionally.

Further, the Universe boss went on to reveal that the two had a deal between them, if Bolt could get him out they both would have a race on the tracking field. Gayle has never been known for running, the big West Indian mostly relied on his power-hitting abilities to score runs but never for taking quick singles or twos.

"Till this day, he’s still afraid of me. Doesn’t want to see me on a 100m track," Gayle said. “Of course I’m a sprinter. All Usain will be seeing is a lot of dust and the Universe Boss going down the stretch.”

Bolt responded with: “We all know Chris can’t run. We have seen him. We know Chris doesn’t do quick singles or anything. We’re not worried about Chris.”

Continuing the banter, Gayle said,"That’s a big lie. I run a lot of ones, twos, threes, you name it… sometimes even fours. So Bolt, get your running spikes ready. And if you want to bring any other athlete along, you know, Yohan Blake, Asafa Powell, anybody. Somebody gonna come fourth. And it’s not me!"

The T20 World Cup will take place from 1-29 June.
