Pakistan's 2023 World Cup campaign came to a disappointing end on Saturday after they fell to a 93-run loss against England at Kolkata.
Though their chances of making the semifinals were slim before the match started, Babar Azam & Co., would have hoped to end their campaign with a win.
However, they ended up losing five out of their nine matches. In fact, Pakistan have qualified to the semifinals of an ODI World Cup only once in the last six editions.

And former India captain Sourav Ganguly felt that Pakistan needed to make a few changes to their domestic structure in order to mould top players.
Ganguly: Top players can't be created by playing only T20 cricket
Ganguly, part of the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals' thinktank, was asked by a Pakistani news channel on whether it was the emergence of IPL which helped India mould a strong team.
The former BCCI President was quick to dismiss the notion and said that playing T20 cricket will not help mould top players.
He felt that Pakistan needed to restructure their domestic cricket in such a way that players play all-through the year and play all formats, not just T20.
"Playing T20 cricket does not mould top players. Quality is produced by playing four-day and five-day cricket. If you play a lot of T20 cricket, you'll become mediocre," Ganguly said.

"You can make money out of T20 cricket. But you can't make top players from T20. To mould players, you need them to play the longer formats," he added.
Dada also pointed out the example of former Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram, highlighting that quality players should aspire to be like him and bowl longer spells.
"You need players like Wasim bhai who used to bowl fast with the new ball as well as the old ball. This focus on longer formats is why India has a good talent factory.
Ganguly: Indian cricket uses money well and that is why they are successful
Ganguly also gave his opinion on why Indian cricket is successful, highlighting that BCCI uses money in Indian cricket well.
"There is money in Indian cricket and it is utilised in the right way. Players play throughout the year and play all formats. That is why India has built a strong team."
"Pakistan also has a lot of talents. There needs to be a few adjustments but the talent is definitely there."
