The Indian Premier League (IPL) teams are in a hustle as the trade window operations are in full swing.
A trade deal refers to the exchange of players between two franchises. During a specific period known as the trade window, franchises can swap players or conduct cash deals.
This allows teams to restructure their squads by acquiring or releasing players based on their strategic requirements and team dynamics.
The IPL trade window is a crucial phase where teams make decisions to enhance their team composition before the upcoming season. The traded players may be involved in a one-to-one exchange or as part of a multi-player or cash deal, as determined by the franchises and the league's governing council.
On Sunday, two of the biggest trade deals in the history of IPL took place as RCB signed Cameron Green from MI paying INR 17.5 crore cash while Pandya rejoined MI for which the franchisee paid INR 15 crores to GT.
