The Brisbane Heat have defeated the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash final to become BBL|13 champions.
After Brisbane posted a solid total of 8/166, an engaging Sixers run chase was expected.
However, the home side collapsed at the crease, finishing all out for just 112.
It is the Heat's first men's title in over a decade, with their previous triumph coming in the 2012/13 season.

Brisbane set a strong total of 166, led by opener Josh Brown who top-scored with 53.
His opening partner Jimmy Peirson failed to make the same impact, dismissed for four runs in the first over.
However, the Heat's next three batters stepped up with positive contributions.
Nathan McSweeney (33), Matthew Renshaw (40) and Max Bryant (29) took control and created some crucial stability.
The Sixers ripped through their opponent's batting order in the last three overs, picking up five wickets while conceding just 19 runs.
Sean Abbot starred with the ball and finished with figures of 4/32.

Sydney's run chase got off to a poor start when Daniel Hughes was dismissed after facing just two balls.
Fellow opener Jack Edwards was the next to go, bowled by Spencer Johnson after a quick 16 off 10 balls.
The Sixers were able to steady the ship for just under five overs before the Heat claimed some key scalps.
Josh Philippe (23) and Moises Henriques (25) made solid contributions, but once they were dismissed, it all fell apart for the home team.
Jordan Silk and Ben Dwarshuis went for ducks, with no other batter able to score over 20 runs.
Fast bowler Spencer Johnson finished with a four-wicket haul, but it was the fielding efforts of Michael Neser that stole the show.

The veteran athletically kept the ball alive before falling over the boundary rope, with Xavier Bartlett on hand to make the catch.
Brisbane's 54-run win was confirmed when the retiring Stephen O'Keefe fired the ball into the air with his first shot and was caught out.
