Babar Azam has broken the record of Virat Kohli as he scored a half-century in the series decider against Ireland on Tuesday. Simultaneously, the Pakistan skipper became the player to hit the most number of 50-plus scores in T20I cricket.

Who has scored the most number of 50-plus scores in T20Is?

Babar Azam overtook Virat Kohli to become the batsman with the most 50-plus scores in T20Is. The Pakistan skipper has now scored 39 fifty-plus scores in the shortest format of the game, surpassing Kohli's 38. 

Azam scored a 42-ball 75 against Ireland, in the third and final T20I of the three-match bilateral series. The Pakistan skipper played a captain's knock, scoring six boundaries and five sixes. Azam has shunned down his critics, batting at a strike rate of 178.
