The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is around the corner. India is set to host the World Cup after a gap of 11 years. And as usual, the encounter between India and Pakistan is arguably the most-talked about match of the tournament.

The tournament will be played from October 5, with the grand final on the 19th of November in Ahmedabad.

Ahead of the tournament, former Pakistan pacer Sarfaraz Nawaz made a bold claim in favour of his country.

What did Sarfaraz Nawaz say about India?

Nawaz believes that Pakistan are better-placed than India going into the World Cup 2023. He said that India are not as stable as Pakistan, and are trying experiments just ahead of the crucial campaign.

"Pakistan has a much more settled and stable outfit for the Asia Cup and World Cup when compared to India. The Indians have still not been able to work out their final combination for these major events", Nawaz told a media outlet in Lahore on Friday.

"India team is being destroyed, and not developed"

Nawaz made a bold claim while chatting with the Pakistani media. He expressed that the Indian Cricket Team is being destroyed ahead of the 2023 World Cup. He also talked about the added pressure on India to deliver success at an ICC tournament.

"Captains are changing, many new players are being tried out, there are no player combinations. I feel instead of developing the Indian side, it is being destroyed", stated Nawaz.

“They are always high expectations when you play at home and it creates more pressure. India's plus point is they have some good senior performers", Nawaz praised.
