Afghanistan beat Pakistan in their group-stage game at the recently concluded ODI World Cup in India. After the game, the duo shared a wholesome moment.
Gurbaz, spoke highly of Azam as he had asked the star batter for his bat with his signature on it. Despite facing defeat, the Pakistan batter obliged to his request.
Gurbaz recalled the moment from the World Cup as he revealed that Babar was about to cry at that moment.

What did Rahmanullah Gurbaz say about Babar Azam?
Gurbaz talked about when Babar Azam gifted him his bat, after the game between Afghanistan and Pakistan. He said how he would never forget that gesture and added that Babar was disappointed after the loss.
In a conversation with Pakistani influencer Momin Saqib, the KKR star said,
That moment, I will never forget about Babar. We beat Pakistan, and then I asked for his bat. When he brought the bat, he was so disappointed. I can feel that as a player, when you are under pressure after the loss.
He also added how Babar was emotional after the disappointing defeat. So much so, that he almost cried in front of the Afghan keeper.
I remember, I was also emotional. Babar is one of the best players, one of the best captains. Trust me, I was trying not to say this in front of camera, but he was about to cry in that moment, Gurbaz revealed on how Babar almost cried after the defeat against Afghanistan.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is all set to play in the IPL 2024. Gurbaz showed great mentality and dominating stroke play at the recent ODI World Cup. Following the tournament, the Afghan keeper was retained by his franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders.
The 22-year-old was traded from Gujarat Titans to Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2023. He will don the 'Purple and Gold' of KKR in IPL 2024.
