India suffered a one-sided defeat against Australia in Ahmedabad as the Aussies chased down the 241-run target set by the hosts with ease, claiming their record sixth World Cup trophy. This was the second time that Australia beat India at a World Cup final, since the 125-run defeat in Johannesburg in 2003.

What did Neeraj Chopra say about India's performance at the World Cup final?

Speaking to the Indian Express, Neeraj Chopra talked about how the Australians carried an edge over the Indians.

The Indian stated that it was all about mental preparation in the final, rather than physical fitness and that is where India lost the game.

The 25-year-old said,

Maybe, somewhere mentally, the Australian team held an edge at the start. When they bowled, I found they had a strong mindset, Neeraj Chopra said to Indian Express.

Chopra also complimented Australia's confidence and belief in their own game. He said that the Aussies "completely flipped the game" towards the end.

In the end, they had completely flipped it over. They were confident about their game, Chopra added.
