Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal once again turned hero for his team as the hosts beat England by 434 a record 434 runs in the third Test match of the ongoing series in Rajkot on Saturday.

In the second innings, Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 214 runs off 236 balls to help India reach 430 runs and set a target of 557 runs for England.

The visitors in turn folded like a pack of cards towards the end of the fourth day as they were bowled out for just 122 runs.

With the win in Rajkot, India are now on course to win yet another Test series on home soil as they now enjoy a 2-1 lead in the ongoing series.

What did Anil Kumble say to Yashasvi Jaiswal?

After the match, legendary former Indian spinner Anil Kumble caught up with Yashaswi Jaiswal on the sidelines and urged the southpaw to keep working on his leg-spin bowling.

Speaking in a post-match show, Kumble told Jaiswal, 

I've seen you roll your arm, never give up on your bowling and be a good leg spinner.

The youngster responded,

Never sir, I'll always keep practicing leg spin.

The young batter is yet to try his hand at bowling in the Test format but he did bowl an over against West Indies in a T20I game in August 2023.
