Kings fans will fondly remember the 2014 season where they made the final after topping the regular-season table.

But even that campaign ended on a sour note as they were toppled by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the final.

Wriddhiman Saha made 115 off 55 balls to set a total of 199-4 after their 20 overs, but Kolkata were able to chase down the difficult target thanks in large to Manish Pandey's 94.

Since then, the Kings have struggled to muscle their way into playoff contention, with their highest placing since coming in 2017 when they finished fifth.
